About Laser Safety Training

Laser Safety Training offers courses for people who wish to obtain a licence to operate laser equipment for surgical procedures and cosmetic procedures or those who wish to maintain, repair or commission laser equipment.

We offer half day and full day courses, that can be scheduled on-site at hospitals and clinics, with weekends available to prevent downtime, disruption and revenue loss.

Both our laser safety training and laser safety officer training courses follow the recommendations of ASNZS4173:2004, ACORN Standards for Perioperative Nursing (2012- 2013), ANMC standards, and are endorsed by the Australian College of Nursing.

Our trainer, David Owen, is an independent consultant working in the field of laser technology and laser safety, with over 1500 hours of laser operating theatre experience across multiple wavelengths, and internationally accredited in Australia, New Zealand and the USA.

David is a member of the Australian Physics Institute, the Laser Institute of America, The Australian College of Nursing, ACORN and the Operating Theatre Association.
