The lecturer will present a comprehensive programme that covers ALL surgical and cosmetic lasers and includes:

• Physics and the operation of lasers
• Interaction of laser radiation with tissue
• Hazards of surgical lasers
• Laser safety
• The role of the laser operator/nurse

Laser Safety Officer Training (full day)

The lecturer will present a comprehensive programme that covers ALL surgical and cosmetic lasers and includes:

• Physics and the operation of lasers
• Interaction of laser radiation with tissue
• Hazards of surgical lasers
• Laser safety
• The role of the laser operator/nurse

Additional training for Laser Safety Officers includes:

• Role and responsibilities of the LSO
• Administrative controls, audits and checking credentials
• Laser clarification and hazard area assessment
• Australian Standards requirements
• Relevant ACORN standards
• Accident response

Qualification awarded upon successfully completing the course

Certificates of completion will be emailed to graduates post course, enabling you to apply for a Laser Licence.
